Alas!
As some of you progress and the thrill of blowing stuff up In your viper/cobra/vulture seems to be becoming more mundane you may be wondering how can I get a Python!? At around 50+ million credits, All the best outfittings 300 million credits. and possibly grind to get elite in combat?
Well unfortunately and excitingly for some, Elite Dangerous is about more than blowing stuff up.
You see I realised the other day that although you can earn more money doing bounties In RES sites before you get a type 7. In fact that's really not the case .....in fact as you may well realise that you can earn a couple of million in 30 mins at a res site, but chances are you spend almost double that time looking for a decent spawn and going back to station to reload/repair/cash in. Not to mention a split in bounties from being in a wing.
You see credits make the world go round and as Elite Dangerous progresses credits will equal power! Even our group is called credits Inc!
For some just flying in a wing killing stuff is great but for those who want more trading is the best way of getting there.
Trading is boring I hear you say?
I hadn't laughed so hard in a game than I did last night watching one of our commanders completly chuff up entering a station and flit around the toaster like a fish out of water! And I was watching the whole thing!
To sum up bounties are great fun, but trading is essential if you want the gucci gear and ships and like bounties it is what you make of it.
Some figures to get the juices flowing:
Python cost around 47 million, Military grade composite cost around 135 million the best power plant 50 million.
The Anconda at 147 million cost 800 million to get decent combat rating.
I currently earn between 1 and 1.4 million every 10 minutes in a type 9. (And there is no messing about looking for a decent spawn our losing half to a wing)
